THE MILFORD SUCCESS ACADEMY

The Milford Success Academy was developed in response to the concern that many of the best and brightest students were in jeopardy of not graduating.

Problems in the students’ lives, and their home lives were leading to increased drop out rates.

To counteract this sad fact, The Success Academy was created. Many of the children involved with the Success Academy have had to overcome or are dealing with very difficult situations. Often times, drugs or illness has brought immense challenges to the families of these students making it hard for them to make it to school on a daily basis.

Several of the Success Academy students have also been clients here at this office. We’ve seen first hand the challenges that these students undergo and in many cases are in moved that they have not given up, even though they feel that the world has given up on them.

I created this scholarship because I thought it was important that the students involved with the Success Academy know that the community does care about them and to pass along the message that we’re all in this together.

To be eligible for the scholarship, the student needs to have enough credits earned to graduate, been an active participant in the program and be accepted to an accredited learning institution for post high school study.
